CPR/AED First Aid Course Registration
The City of Strongsville, in partnership with Sourthwest General and the American Heart Association is please to offer 4 different types of CPR/AED First Aid classes. Use this form to register and pay for these classes. You can also download a paper registration form. The American Heart Association recommends purchasing a student guide to prepare for all classes. You can purchase supplies at the American Heart Store

About Classes
All classes are held at the Strongsville Fire Station #4 2nd floor classroom, located at 17000 Prospect Rd. Weekday and weekend classes start at 9am. Each class has a minimum of 6 students and a maximum of 12. If you have any questions, please call 440.580.3269 or email cpr@strongsville.org.
Heartsavers (HS) Friends and Family CPR
The Heartsavers (HS) Friends and Family CPR course is a 2-hour class that teaches CPR/AED and choking response for adults, children, and infants. It is designed for people who want to learn CPR in a group setting with an instructor, but do not need a course completion card for work or other requirements. This class is suitable for community groups, parents, grandparents, caregivers, schools, students, and anyone else interested in learning life-saving skills. No written exam or skills test is required. The cost of this class is $20 per person.
Heartsavers (HS) CPR/AED
The Heartsavers (HS) CPR/AED course is a 3.5-hour class that teaches adult, child, and infant CPR, AED use, and choking response. It is intended for people with little or no medical training who need a course completion card, valid for two years, for their job or regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA). It is important to check with your employer to ensure that you are taking the correct course. This class is designed for the average person who may come across an emergency unexpectedly. There is no written exam, but a skills test is required to pass. The cost of this class is $30 per person.
Heartsaver (HS) First Aid CPR AED
The Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course is a 7-hour class that combines both HS CPR and HS First Aid. It is intended for people with little or no medical training who need a course completion card, valid for two years, for their job or regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA), or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. It is important to check with your employer to ensure that you are taking the correct course. This class teaches basic bleeding control, Epi pen use, and how to recognize and respond to an emergency. It also teaches adult, child, and infant CPR, AED use, and choking response, and is designed for the average person who may come across an emergency unexpectedly. There is no written exam, but a skills test is required to pass. Students who successfully complete the course will receive a course completion card, valid for two years. The cost of this class is $50 per person
Healthcare (HC) Provider BLS
The Healthcare (HC) Provider BLS course is a 4.5-hour class designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel whose job requires them to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in various in-facility and prehospital settings. To pass this course, students must successfully complete the written exam and skills test. The cost of this class is $50 per person.
SPECIAL: HeartSaver (HS) First Aid
The HeartSaver (HS) First Aid course is a 2.5-hour class that teaches basic bleeding control, Epi pen use, and how to recognize and respond to an emergency. It is usually offered as part of the 7-hour HS First Aid CPR AED course, but it can also be taken as a standalone class for those who need a course completion card in First Aid. The cost for this class is $20 per person. Please note that due to low demand for this stand-alone Heartsaver (HS) First Aid class, we can coordinate a special group class upon request.
